Dental practice going to auction

I was just wondering, how do you go about putting dental practice sales?  Are there sections in the back of trade magazines where you can advertise them?  It’s not something I’ve ever done or even considered doing before so I haven’t looked into it.

I suppose it’s easier in some areas, there are so many Dublin dentists that it must be a fairly routine occurrence that someone retires or goes under or just decides they want to move away from dentistry and do something else with their life.  I suppose it might be harder in rural areas, although that said it might be attractive to a number of people.  The idea of going off to the middle of nowhere, living in the countryside and still having steady work as you’re the only dentist for nine miles certainly has its appeal.

Do you look at it from a property point of view or as a business?  Or is it a mix of both?  Do people choose to buy a practice because it has an attached house or flat which takes care of their living arrangements at the same time, is it like pub management in that respect?  Is it more important to focus on the number of clients and current rates of return?  What is the best way to do it and where can reliable advice be found?, I never want to do another cosmeticdentistryguide.co.uk/articles/root-canal.html ever again
